At the moment, there are lots of Sparrows in the garden, almost as many as the Goldfinches. Next door to us has a long established hedge and they are nesting there and feeding in our garden. Great to watch.
Great fun watching the Blue Tits in the garden this morning, going through all the blossom looking for bugs.
A lovely photo of a male Mallard Duck on the lake at Rochford. This was taken early evening but unlike the earlier photo of the Canada Goose, there is no sunset reflected on the water.
Another photo from the Lake at Doggets Farm, Rochford, Essex. This little Moorhen was quite fun to watch.
I saw this Canada Goose swimming in a reflected sunset at Doggets Farm, Rochford, Essex yesterday and just had to photograph it. The scene was so idyllic.
This huge Herring Gull was another visitor yesterday. As you can see, after he had been there was not a lot left for everyone else. 🙂
It’s been a while since I have had time to sit down and photograph the birds in our garden. Today I put a bit of Bacon fat out and a couple of gulls visited. It is amazing that they totally ignore bread, but the minute I put fat out there, they appear! 🙂
A couple of Canada Geese spotted on our walk along the River Stour just by Dedham.
Greenfinch getting ready for his next go at the feeder. We have two regular Greenfinch in the garden.
