Mustang P51 Tall in the Saddle at Clacton 2017
A great formation of the Norwegian Historic Flight’s Mig 15 and Vampires at the Clacton Airshow 2017.
Had a great time at the Classic car Show at Little Clacton yesterday. There were lots of vehicles there and a very good live band. Well worth a visit! Here are just a few of the photos I took during the day.
This is the only flying version of the Hurribomber at the moment. This was a Hurricane modified to carry 2 bombs, one on each wing. Seen at Clacton Airshow 2017
A fine view of the Catalina flying boat doing a flypast at the Clacton Airshow 2017 with her floats down.
As we are unlikely to see the Lancaster at Clacton this week, here is a reminder of how good she looks in the sky.
This Grey Heron was hunting for food in and out of the reeds at Rutland Water.
Some photos of the Ospreys at Rutland Water. Not very detailed but the closest I could get to them was from a hide about a 1/4 of a mile from the nest. Great to watch!
A Young house Sparrow watching for a chance to get onto the bird feeders.
This adult Pied Wagtail was part of a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 chicks. They did not stop searching for food the whole time I was watching them.
Part of the French display team at RAF Fairford this year a very good looking Mirage
Feeder Wars. There is a great deal of fighting going on in the garden over the feeder. They are certainly hungry.
Another photo from our garden. We have a reasonable size flock of goldfinches visiting us during the day with both young and adult birds.
Another photo from yesterday’s visit to Knole House in Kent. Once fully grown, this stag is going to have a fine set of antlers.
We had a great day out today at Knole House, a National Trust property. The deer in the deer park are so used to people they would happily feed within 6 feet of you.
Blue Tit in the garden this week. We still have the family of about 3 of them around at the moment.
We have a family of 3 Greenfinches visiting the garden at the moment. This is the most for several years.
A really colourful Chaffinch in full mating plumage, waiting in the Apple tree for his turn at the feeders.
