What a difference 2 days make. The moon is larger and because it comes up 2 hours later, it is now a lot whiter. This officially is a Blue Moon as there have been 2 full moons this month. Later tonight, there will be a lunar eclipse, but we wont see it here.
Just before dusk today, the rain stopped and this lovely moon showed it’s face in the blue sky.
Another photo from Duxford. This is another Hurricane, a Mk1 P3700 with the squadron code of RF-E. Personally although I love Spitfires, my first love is definitely the Hurricane.
A great shot of the Mk 1 Hurricane P2902 at Duxford. This is a really nice looking machine, so I processed the shot so that it looked as though it was in a dark hangar with the sunlight lighting her up.
Typhoon FGR4 taking off from RAF Fairford in 2016 with a lot of noise and heat from the exhausts.
Another view from Duxford. I love going in the winter months as you get to see the aircraft under winter maintenance, this appeals to the engineer in me. Here is the B17 Flying Fortress ‘Sally B’ undergoing engine maintenance.
If anything shows the changes since the law on historic pleasure flights came in, it is this shot of three 2 seat Spitfires in a hangar at Duxford.
2 Starlings suddenly realising that they are the only two birds left on the feeders!
