This artwork came to mind after viewing this aircraft at the Norwich City Aviation Museum in 2020. The aircraft is a Jaguar G.R. Mk1 serial number XX109 is in the markings of 54F squadron, RAF, who were using Jaguars from about 1974 to 2005.
This Jaguar was built in 1972 and used as a test aircraft and used in the trials for landing and taking off from the M55 motorway in 1979.
I have shown it on exercises providing (very) close ground support to the army. It is flying very low over the English countryside.
This piece of art does not represent any actual event, it is just based on a idea I had in my head.
