‘Beaver Water skiing’

This piece of digital composite art shows a De Havilland Beaver having fun water skiing on a lake in the late afternoon. The idea came from seeing Canadian bush pilots doing the same thing. It looks great fun.

The aircraft is just skimming the top of the water with it’s wheels. Bush pilots often use this technique to slow themselves down enough to land on a sand bank!
